Whoosh Passengers Reach 5 Million, Supporting Economy and Tourism

Jakarta – Whoosh, the first high-speed train in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, celebrated a new milestone by serving 5 million passengers as of September 4, 2024. This achievement coincided with National Customer Day, marked by various forms of appreciation from PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) for its users.
Eva Chairunisa, General Manager Corporate Secretary of KCIC, stated that reaching 5 million passengers is a clear testament to the public’s trust in Whoosh.
“The figure not only reflects the increasing number of Whoosh passengers but also serves as clear evidence of the public’s trust in this modern, fast, and efficient high-speed train service, the first in Indonesia and Southeast Asia,” she said on Thursday (September 5, 2024).
So far, Whoosh has served passengers from 154 countries, including hundreds of thousands of international travelers, contributing to the growth of Indonesian tourism.
“We are grateful for the public’s trust that has brought us to this achievement. With Whoosh, travel has not only become faster and more comfortable, but it also supports the growth of Indonesia’s tourism and economy, especially in the regions traversed by the Whoosh route,” said Eva Chairunisa.
